Branch
Profile
The Grand River Stanley
Park Community Library opened on May 21, 2002.
Following more than a year of discussions and
planning, Kitchener Public Library and Waterloo
Region District School Board have jointly constructed
an integrated Community Library / Learning Resource
Centre at the Grand River Collegiate Institute.
Benefits
of the Partnership
The Waterloo Region
District School Board and Kitchener Public Library
share similar missions: to educate and inform
our community. Together we met the Literacy challenge
our community faces, and promote Life Long Learning
for all age groups.
Community
Library Services
KPL will provide
the full suite of collections and services presently
available at all other community library locations.
This library, like each of the community libraries
will respond to community-specific information
needs, through relevant collections, programming
and services.
What
We Offer
Class
Visits
Teachers, Day Care
providers and Home Schoolers are welcome to book
a time for their charges to visit the library.

has to offer and will enjoy a special story time
and a tour of the Branch.
Teachers can also
request an instructional session for their students
on how to use the Library Catalogue for research
projects.
In June, KPL programming
staff is also available to go out to schools to
promote our Summer Reading Club and summer programs.
To find out more
or to book a class visit, please contact our children's
programmer, Karen Junker 896-1736.
