What can I borrow?
You may borrow up to 50 items and place up to 50 holds. As well, remote access to on-line resources is available, including our downloadable audio books.
How do overdue materials and fines affect my library card?
You will be notified if you have overdue materials. Overdue materials must be returned to the owning library system, and fines paid. Unpaid charges of $30.00 or more will result in referral to a collection agency after normal notification procedures have been exhausted.
Can I pay fines owing at another library system within Waterloo Region?
No. Fines owing are to be paid at the library system where they were incurred.
Can I return books to any other library within Waterloo Region?
No. Please return materials to the library system from which you borrowed them. This will help keep delivery costs to a minimum and make them more quickly available to other customers. If you do return materials to another library system, you should be aware that fines continue to accumulate until the items are returned to the owning library. Unfortunately we cannot assume any liability for books returned to another system.
What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
Your card is very important. If your card is lost or stolen, report it immediately to any branch library. You are responsible for anything borrowed on your card. To receive a replacement card, you will be asked to show identification, and pay a $2.00 replacement charge.
