Piano Practice

Our baby grand piano is available in the Central Library lounge for students to play in front of a live audience. Students at a Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music level or above may book a time to play the piano – the perfect opportunity to practise before a competition or performance.

Musicians are not paid, and are asked to play full pieces. Practice sessions should be 30 minutes to an hour.

If you are interested in booking practice time, please contact Sheila Bauman, events planner, at

Together, we can create a space that allows musicians to share their talents, while offering an equal opportunity for everyone in the community to enjoy music.
