You are here
Hi! I'm Curby, and I am here to guide you through Curb and Carry, our hold pickup service. We're excited to get library materials back in your hands!
Thank you for your co-operation in helping us ‘curb’ the spread of COVID-19.
Certain items are not available for pickup at this time. These include wi-fi hotspots, museum passes, experience bags and musical instruments.
How Curb and Carry Works
Step 1: Use the library catalogue to place your holds.
Use the library catalogue to locate the item(s) you want to borrow. To place an item on hold, click the Request button. Choose one of the "KPL" libraries as your pickup location and click the Submit button.
Step 2: Wait for us to contact you.
When your items are ready to be picked up, you will receive an email or telephone notification. Please note the library pickup location and check the pickup hours for that location.
Step 3: Pick up your holds.
When you arrive, please head to the library entrance and wait in line to enter the library. Be sure to have your library card number ready! We will check out your items and place them on the table for you. Please remember to follow physical distancing guidelines and stand two metres apart from staff and customers. We encourage you to wear a face mask when visiting us if you are able to.
Step 4: Enjoy your items!
You get to keep your items for six weeks! We encourage you to hang on to them - there will be no overdue fines until further notice. If you are returning items, you may use the outdoor book drop at any Kitchener Public Library location.
