Ever since Einstein first proposed his theories of relativity over a century ago, some of the most peculiar features of physics have been at our fingertips. Things like wormholes and time travel sound like sci-fi, but could they one day be a reality? Join us to hear Conner Dailey speak about how relativity could allow us to travel though space and time -- but with a catch.

Conner Dailey is a PhD student at the University of Waterloo, with residency at the Perimeter Institute. His main research interests are in relativity and strong gravity, trying to understand some of the strangest phenomena in our Universe: gravitational waves and black holes.

The WCA-KPL Astronomy Talk series takes place on the last Wednesday of each month, and is jointly organized by the Waterloo Centre for Astrophysics and KPL. Attendance is free and open to anyone, although we request that you register in advance.

The opinions of guest speakers do not necessarily reflect the values and mission of Kitchener Public Library. We champion the right for ideas to be heard and words expressed without censorship. Intellectual freedom is a fundamental right.
